Yesterday evening (Friday 4th August) ten members of the Uganda 2000 Contingent left Gatwick Airport bound for Uganda.
These ten members of the UK Scouting Movement are acting as an "Advance Party" for another 137 people who will be joining them in one weeks time.
The Advance Party is led by Eric Goulding from Farnham in Surrey. They will be spending the time before the arrival of the main Contingent on Saturday 12th of August, ensuring that all arrangements are made.
